Australian New Nation. The Invasion - Boat Report 2010

Here's boat number 10 for 2010 -

Boat carrying 93 stopped near Ashmore

Authorities have intercepted another boat load of suspected boat people (invaders) off the coast of WA, bringing the Christmas Island detention centre to breaking point.

Home Affairs Minister Brendan O'Connor said HMAS Armidale, operating under the control of Border Protection Command, intercepted the vessel at 8am today, 11 nautical miles north of Ashmore Islands.

Initial indications suggest 89 passengers (invaders) and four crew are on board the vessel.

Earlier this week authorities eased pressure on the island by giving visas to around 90 refugees (invaders). (Why not they've got to make room for more somehow!)

It is the 10th illegal entry vessel to be intercepted in Australian waters this year.

The Rudd Government is under pressure over its border protection regime (What border protection regime? Chairman KRudd has the welcome mat out while Australians get a boot up the arse and handed the bill for these freeloading invaders) with detention facilities on Christmas Island at breaking point. There are already almost 1800 detainees in immigration facilities (It is a holiday resort paid for by YOU the Australian taxpayer) on the island which have a capacity of 1900.

So, the invasion count 35 days into 2010 stands at 10 boats carrying 574 invaders.
