WARWICK DAILY NEWS:
THERE is no doubt the Peter Watson political debacle has caused a stir, and as Mr Watson's history begins to surface, the more the pot boils.
Solicitor for Aboriginal Legal Services Daniel Habermann said he was horrified when he became aware of the newsletter, The Spearhead, of which Mr Watson is the editor, and disgusted with the views of the former Labor candidate for the Southern Downs.
"Obviously, Labor should have done their research, but it's also obvious that it's extremely embarrassing," Mr Habermann said.
"This way of thinking is not the typical Warwick way of thinking and I can't understand why he would do this."
He said the racial slurs that filled the pages were just not true, at least not in Australia.
"It's claiming every Aboriginal in the community is a violent criminal, which is not the case," Mr Habermann said.
"Aboriginal people are always a minority on the court list and the people that go to court are the exception rather than the rule."
He said he could not fathom how Mr Watson classed himself as a "traditional" Labor supporter.
"And this is not the traditional Labor Policy like he claims - it is so far right wing," Mr Habermann said.
"If he was a traditional Labor supporter, he would have been more inclined to side with the underdogs.
"Most right-thinking people think it's just outrageous and I'm just a concerned citizen who knows what I'm talking about," he said.
Looks to me that this suspiciously Jewish sounding Solicitor for Aboriginal Legal Services Daniel Habermann may be inciting a touch of violence towards this young fella? Go figure. I think I would be seeking legal advise if I was "Peter Watson".
Especially as you will see he has denied these claims printed by the local fish and chip wrapper.

MEDIA STATEMENT BY PETER WATSON
RE: DANIEL HABERMANN'S COMMENTS TO THE WARWICK DAILY NEWS 23/02/2012
"Comments made by the Aboriginal Legal Services solicitor, Mr Daniel Habermann, about articles published by my self in the Spearhead are untrue and incorrect.
In an article published by the Warwick Daily News on the 23/02/2012 entitled 'Horror at candidate's racist rant', Mr Habermann is quoted as saying "It's claiming every Aboriginal in the community is a violent criminal, which is not the case".
The Spearhead has never published any article claiming such a thing nor have I ever written any article or made any comment saying that every Aboriginal in the Warwick community is a "violent criminal".
Mr Habermann was quoted as saying "Aboriginal people are always a minority on the court list and the people that go to court are the exception rather than the rule."
The Spearhead has published a few articles about racial minority criminality. Articles dealing with Aboriginal criminality have only claimed that Aboriginals have a high chance of going to jail and a high chance of committing criminal acts. Such claims have been based on research relying on published statistics on the subject.
Such incorrect comments about a sensitive subject may cause some to commit illegal acts against myself, my property and my family.
Mr Habermann should publicly withdraw his comments and apologise"

My bet he didn't even read the spearhead. Hell we didn't till now. So if young Peter is beaten to an inch of his life, or his family attacked by some locals, will Daniel represent him "pro -bono" . Maybe Daniel will be representing the people who will track Peter down and harm him. He can then ask young Peter while he is in the dock giving evidence against his assailants "what does the holocaust mean to you". Well this is the only REAL Holocaust we are aware of.
